Privacy policy
Privacy Policy
This is the privacy policy for www.ion8.co.uk, run by Aydya Limited (trading as ION8).
Your privacy matters to us. Trusting us with your personal information is something we take seriously, and we want to be clear and upfront about what we do with it.
We never share or sell your information to other companies for their own marketing. We don't buy in data from third parties either.
What we collect
We collect information in a few ways:
- When you get in touch with us, including when you place an order
- When you fill in a form on our site, such as signing up to our newsletter or contacting us
- When you visit our site, including things like traffic data, location data, and basic browsing behaviour
How we use it
We use your information to do things like:
- Send your order to the right address
- Contact you if there's a delivery issue
- Let you know about products you might like, or invite you to a giveaway
- Understand how people use our site, so we can keep improving it
We'll only use your information for the reasons we collected it, unless there's a closely related reason that makes sense too.
Who we share it with
We work with a small number of trusted providers to run our site and business. They only use your information to provide their service to us, not for their own purposes:
- Shopify – our ecommerce platform, which handles orders, payments, and customer accounts
- Klaviyo – our email platform, used to send order updates and marketing emails
- Google Analytics, Meta, and Triple Whale – used to understand how people use our site and how our marketing is performing
Some of these providers may process or store data outside the UK or EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses, to keep your information protected to UK standards.
How long we keep your information
We keep order and account information for as long as you're an active customer, and for a further period afterwards to meet our accounting and tax obligations, currently up to 6 years.
If you've signed up for marketing emails, we'll keep your details until you unsubscribe or until we no longer have a reason to stay in touch.
Keeping your information secure
We take security seriously and follow strict procedures to protect your data from loss, damage, or misuse. Information you share with us is encrypted using SSL technology, the standard way of protecting personal and payment details online.
You can check a page is secure by looking for "https" and a padlock icon in your browser. We keep improving our security as new tools and standards become available, though no method of sending information online is ever 100% guaranteed safe.
If you have an account with us, keep your password to yourself, and consider changing it now and then for extra peace of mind.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that help our site remember you and work properly. They let us personalise your experience without storing anything sensitive, like your name, address, or payment details.
You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time, including blocking or deleting them. Every browser is a little different, so check your browser's help section for how to do this. You can also find general guidance at www.allaboutcookies.org.

- Restrict how we process your information
